VLC 3.0.7 Blu-Ray menus broken again

VLC 3.0.7 has broken the playback of Blu-Ray BD-Java menus. These worked in 3.0.6 but now in 3.0.7 I get the following error message on the same movies.

Java required
This Blu-Ray disc requires Java for menu support.
The disc will be played without menus.

I have both Apple's Java 1.6 JRE installed and Oracle's JRE 1.8 and both of these are working fine. Remember VLC 3.0.6 also works.

Considering VLC 3.0.7 was supposed to improve Blu-Ray menu support this is very disappointing.

Note: I say broken again because the first version 3.0.x releases which were supposed to feature BD menu support also had this broken on Macs.

Yes, yes, yes! The only difference in my case is that it didn't work for me on 3.0.6 and all the previous ones, either. MacOS 10.14.5, Java 1.8.0 b.211.

FYI, the 3.0.7.1 update is available through the internal updater now.

I can confirm 3.0.7.1 fixes this particular problem. Thanks for that.

Unfortunately now being to able to test it properly it did not fix playing two particular BD discs but that may be those at fault rather than VLC. It did seem smoother for other working BDs.

For me 3.0.7.1 just crashes when I attempt to open a blu-ray.
Java version "12.0.1" both 64bit

VLC is playing blu ray discs but without any menues.

VLC v3.0.8 (x64)
W10 Pro x64 w/domain
Java JDK v12.0.2
JAVA_HOME & JRE_HOME both set
%PATH% includes Java\bin ((java comes up on a DOS window as well))

I can access all tracks on a blu ray, by manually setting the Title # on the Blu-ray menu (on the Open media->Disc page), but I'm still get the
Java required:
This Blu-ray disc requires Java for menus support.Java was not found on your system.
The disc will be played without menus.
message.

If anyone has ideas, hints or suggestions, I'm all ears.

In the course, I have deleted all previous Java installs and have updated VLC from v3.0.6 to v3.0.8

JDK 12 is too new and does not work for Blu-Ray menus yet, sorry.
