How To: Remove items from sidebar

Postby godzfire » 16 Feb 2019 18:05

Greetings folks:

I would like to remove items from the left Sidebar I don't use. I've already found how to remove the items under the 'Internet' subsection by right clicking on VLC, choosing 'Show Package Contents', then navigating to Contents > MacOS > share > lua:

However, I also want to remove the following:

MY COMPUTER
- My Videos
- My Music
- My Pictures
LOCAL NETWORK
- Bonjour Network Discovery
- Network Steams (SAP)
- Universal Plug'n'Play
INTERNET
- Podcasts

How can this be accomplished? It would be really nice if VLC wouldn't add this bloat in the first place, or at least add Preferences options to the Interface section to display them or not. Currently everytime a new version of VLC comes out, it overwrites the file removals.
