VLC 3.0.4 does not detect updates

VLC 3.0.4 does not detect the 3.0.5 and 3.0.6 updates. Instead, it tells me 3.0.4 is the newest version.

Been having the same issue for a while now. I've been downloading versions from the VLC website for almost half a year now, as 'check for updates' for some reason doesn't seem to be working.

We always enable the updater a few days or sometimes a week or two after releasing an update to check for last regressions what might affect all users. That's why we never announced 3.0.5 at all and directly released 3.0.6 because we broke DVD subtitles.

The 3.0.6 update is available through the updater for about a week now and upgrading from 3.0.4 to 3.0.6 works as expected here.
