Chromecast + VLC Mobile App compatibility

When I render to Chromecast, the VLC Mobile app only seems to offer limited functionality e.g. pause, play and skip forward/back.

How can I get the other VLC Mobile functions enabled please? Many thanks.

I'm using macOS Mojave 10.14.2, VLC 3.04 and VLC Mobile 1.8.3.2 (Android)

Off the top of my head, it would be functions like: volume control, minimise/fullscreen, subtitle/audio track, crop and aspect ratio. Currently I can't get them to work when rendering to Chromecast. But if I connect my laptop to the TV via HDMI cable (instead of rendering to Chromecast), all these VLC Mobile app functions work well.
