crash a lot of time during playing

under new macOS 10.13.4 on an iMac 5K I have the same issues with VLC 3.0.1.
Maybe you can try transitionally a nightly Version of VLC 3.0.2 and change back on a stable version when 3.0.2 is officially out.

Thank, I will try the nightly as well.
Since 3.0.1 I have each time I close the vlc player a crash, which is harmless, as I stopped it anyway, but a bit annoying.
Much more annoying is that the jump back or forward is now taking veryl long (some seconds) with the new 3.0.1 and was just immediate under 2.2.8
So I will first try the new 4 nightly and if not better back I go to 2.2.8

MacBook Pro from mid 2009 with OS 10.11.6 (can not install 10.12 or 10.13 because Book too old)

The crash on exit is fixed with the release of 3.0.2

Does this fix also the extreme lags when jump forward or back?

By the way: I still have crashes when exit with that 4.beta I installed. Not every time, but often enough.
But I remember, I had them also with the previous 2.2.8 from time to time.

But with 3.0.2 there was no more crash since then. I went back from 4 beta to the 3.0.2 and it works good.
