Several minor things...

1) Version 2.2.8 Weatherwax's update function doesn't inform of version 3.

2) 3.0.1's playback is on the dark side at least with some files, leaving dark video scenes black to the point of indiscernibility. (This was particularly irksome when a certain Asgardian hero was fighting a bunch of creatures in Surtur's cave.) I had to increase VLC's brightness setting (under Windows > Video Effects) to to around 60%-ish from the default 50% in order to get it to look right.

3) Saved .m3u playlist files can't be defaulted to VLC for some reason. (They always depict a a dog-eared txt icon and open iTunes unless right-click/open-with.)
