Timeline scroller of videos in fullscreen

Hey there,

what the heck happend with VLC?

Why can't the video controls at the bottom stretch from left to right screen end.
Instead you have a narrow scroller within the controls in the middle of the screen.
It feels like using a analogue voltmeter which displays the messured value only only on the lowest 1/3 of the gauge instead of using the full scale?

Is there anybody that can explain me why VLC doesn't use the complete width?
