"Resize Interface to the Native Video Size" Setting Not Working

The "Resize Interface to the Native Video Size" setting in Preferences>Interface (screenshot linked) does not disable resizing when unchecked. To clarify, if I uncheck the setting, the interface still resizes to whatever the video size is. The setting remains unchecked, but nothing happens. I've tried resetting all settings to default and trying again but VLC exhibits the same behavior. Further, if unchecked, the options in the "Video" portion of the menu bar for "Half Size", "Double Size", etc. stop working also. Am I missing another setting somewhere to make this work the way it's supposed to?

After re-installing VLC, the video now fits the default interface size (at app start). However, the menu bar "Video" options for "Half Size", "Normal Size", and "Double Size" still do not work with this setting left unchecked (Resize Interface to the Native Video Size).

Any thoughts? Is this a known bug?

I'm seeing the same behaviour (Mac Version 3.0.2)

Seems like a bug to me. I would expect normal size to adjust the interface to fit the media dimensions.

--> This is a known limitation. Please enable "Resize Interface to the Native Video Size" if you want to use those menu points.
