volume OSD bug + 2 things VLC needed years ago

Hi, VLC is ok, it's just that randomly, for no apparent reason, the volume OSD will disappear in the middle of changing the volume. There could be, but I haven't really found any real correlation between changing window size or doing anything that would trigger this other than just changing the volume. It seems random. I always use the trackpad (two finger swipe up/down) to change volume.

Also, I am close to murdering a baby if VLC will not already, after all these years have, have a checkbox in the preferences somewhere to save window size and position upon exiting. Also, I don't know how many times I've requested this over the years but also an option to have VLC window only "float on top" when playing. When paused I'd like to be able to have other windows on top. Hence why I paused the video in the first place! Because I want to temporarily stop watching the movie and take care of something else...... Thank you.

Window size and position should be already saved by default. Try to change the setting to not resize window to native video size as well, if this is what you want.

I just adjusted the window size + position during playback of a movie then exited VLC. I double clicked on the file again and it went back to it's default size/position. So how does it save it? I don't have the "resize interface to native video size" checked. Don't worry about it, you're not going to change this anytime soon. It's been years. What, you're going to suddenly do it? You don't have to run around in circles trying to give me some useless advice. Just say we're not going to put that feature in. You would get more respect from people that way.
