Won't play MPEG AAC (m4a) files

Postby godzfire » 21 Dec 2015 01:50

I use Audio Hijack Pro to create audio files of a radio show I record. However, for whatever reason, VLC will not play them, even though every other audio program I have has no issues. I can drag the files onto VLC's playlist, and for a split second you can see the time bar go really fast across the screen, but that's it. VLC doesn't report any errors.

Here's the recording setup from AHP:

Here's what VLC says the file is:

Here's the debug log:

So what's going on?

We fail to recognize the file structure. Can you share a short sample file with us on http://streams.videolan.org/upload/ ? Thanks!
