PLAY/PAUSE hot key not working after update to 2.1.4

Hi,

First of all, great software..bravo to the team!!!

I downloaded VLC 2.1.4 update , onto my MAC OS, as well as the VLC Remote and VLC Streamer yesterday and my PLAY/PAUSE hot key ceased functioning. What gives? When playing aVideo, I can pause it when i tap my hot key (SPACE BAR) but when I tap SPACE BAR again, it doesn't play again. It worked perfectly prior to update and download of extensions/remotes/streamer. How do I fix this?
