VLC 2.2.0 for iOS streams always the same video

hello folks,

vlc media player works great on my ios devices in general. but when i'm streaming from my twonky media server i can choose every file i want, vlc streams always the same video file in a directory.
so i dropped different single files in a separate directory. et voilà: vlc streamed that file in a perfect manner. but if there are more than two files in a directory, vlc streamed only one file again whatever i choosed before.

all my other devices (samsung and sony tv) and other iOS Apps are streaming the right file (with much less quality of course )

any ideas? thanks!

my specs:
- twonky server 7.0.9
- iphone 5, iOS 7.0.4
- VLC 2.2.0
- mkv-containerfiles only with h.264 and h.263 content

I can confirm that I have exactly the same issue in XBMC. I'm running OpenElec 3.2.2 and the latest VLC on an iPad Air.

It always seems to pick the last file in a library.

Ok, I can't reproduce this issue with XMBC 12.3 “Frodo”. It's also working fine for me with Twonky Server 6.0.39. I'll try to update it to 7.0.9 now.

Update: I was able to reproduce this problem with the latest version of Twonky and I'm working on a fix.

Hi, Felix. I am so glad you've identified and fixed this issue. I am having exactly the same problem except I use the latest version of Serviio as my upnp server on Windows xp. Do you know whether your fix will work for me also? If not I am willing to switch to Twonky as long as it will run "silently" in the system tray - I will look in to this. Most importantly, any idea when the update containing this fix will be made available?

I specifically tested this fix with Serviio on Windows 8.1, so it should also work the same server on Windows XP.

The update is still waiting for review by Apple since a week. No idea what's taking them so long.
