VLC for OSX Exit Fullscreen when finished

Hello Guys
I've been looking for days but can't find it. I'm looking for the setting to exit fullscreen and return to the reduced window size at the end of a TV show or Movie.
Can anyone tell me?

Yes this bug is really a problem, I believe the bug is related to the application dropping into "Native" full screen mode.

It's in the "Interface" category of VLC's preferences (check the VLC menu).

Did you restart VLC after changing the option?
