I have updated to Version 2.1.1 Rincewind (Intel 64bit) on my Macbook Pro, and now my entire collection of AVCHD Lite videos that I have recorded on my Panasonic Lumix camera play the audio track fine, but the screen is white with no picture. Previous versions of VLC played these files with no problems. e.g. version 2.1.0 played these .MTS AVCHD Lite files with no problems. I have now reverted back to v.2.1.0 until this bug has been corrected.

Can you share a short and small sample privately with us on http://streams.videolan.org/upload and give the file name here so we can check what's wrong?

I have now uploaded a file that when played using v.2.1.1 shows a white screen but the audio is fine. The file name is:

MTS AVCHD Lite files no picture bug since v.2.1.1

Works fine on 2.1.1 on Linux and 2.2.0 on Linux

v.2.1.1 doesn't play .MTS AVCHD LITE files on Mac OS X 10.6.8 which I am using on my Macbook. Just a white screen, but the audio plays fine. So if it plays OK on Linux, the bug must be specific to the Mac version of VLC.

v2.1.0 plays the files with no problems.

When I try the 'check for update' in VLC it only indicates v2.1.1 is available for download and installation. So I'm assuming 2.1.2 is available from somewhere else? Though for my purposes 2.1.0 will suffice for the time being. Thanks for your help.

Just upgraded my VLC to v.2.1.2, but the bug is still there that prevents the .MTS AVCHD Lite file videos from playing, resulting in a white screen. The audio plays fine on these files though.

I'm going to downgrade back to v.2.1.0 again until the bug is fixed as everything works fine on that version when playing .MTS AVCHD Lite files created on my Panasonic Lumix camera.

Pretty much the same problem.
all my video from my Panasonic worked with 1.x version and 2.0 version but since 2.1.x ... I have the sound but not the video

Any chance it will get fix?

I am running the 2.1.2 on Win 8.1 x64 and latest NVidia driver.

I can confirm that AVCHD files made with my Panasonic ZS3 camera no longer play back video on updates 2.1.1 and 2.1.2. The screen sizes to the proper 1280x720, but only shows a black screen (plays audio fine). When I reinstall 2.1.0, the files play as they should. I tried this on several different computers with the same result. All are running Windows 7 x64 and using the x64 bit version of VLC. I can also supply a sample if requested.

I second this. I also have this problem when I try to play MTS files with version 2.1.2. I can share sample files and/or systemspecs when required.

I have exactly the same problem!
Only audio with my panasonic mts-files with the new version, but no problems with V1.9.0!
I had to downgrade to see my videos.

2.1.3 will fix this issue.

has this t been fixed on the window version? just installed 2.1.5 still doesn't work. please advise thanks.
actually i think it does worrk the files were corrupt.. sorry

One other thing that everyone might try - copy the .MTS file to your hard drive first. I tried playing mine off the SD card first; VLC wouldn't play it until I copied it to the hard drive, and then it worked fine.
