Delay in audio when resuming large MKV files

When I pause a large, high quality MKV file, then resume it, there is about a three second delay before the audio returns. Then everything is fine again. But, is there a way to fix this delay so that it does not happen?

This is also happening to me but also at the start of any video as well. Glad to know I'm not the only one. Hopefully someone will have an answer.

We are looking into this at the moment. This apparently also happens on iOS from time to time.
