Version 2.1.1 Rincewind… a few issues

Postby onesnzeros » 15 Nov 2013 09:55

Hi peoples,
Long time listener, first time caller :P
Firstly thank you for the awesome player, it's really a godsend :)

I felt i should report some things…
Firstly when I installed this version just now, it kind of hung post install, then it somehow turned up the volume of my soundcard automatically. The volume icon appeared on screen and the volume on my RME Fireface 400 went from -22dB to +6dB quite quickly. When I tried to turn it down, it just kept coming back up, like someone was holding the volume button down, the screen icon for volume appeared while this was happening and would not leave the screen until i restarted.

Also, each time i play a song in VLC now, when the song finishes, there is a loud pop sound. It's ghastly and i need to find the previous installer now somehow…

I'm running OSX 10.8.5… x64… 2.7GHz processor, 8GB RAM… Solid state hard drive…. RME Fireface 400 with the latest driver (3.19)…
I've personally NEVER had a problem with VLC until now.
Cheers ;)
Simon

Mine also "hung" on the "Restart and Install" screen, but I quit the program manually, and it had installed correctly.
