Deinterlace Mode?

Just wondering what deinterlace mode VLC for iOS uses and whether it (and more specifically the auto-mode) supports x264 MBAFF syntax (even though the x264 implementation is not truly 'macroblock adaptive')?
Cheers.

Just ran a test interlaced video (50i576 DV clip encoded to x264 mp4 set, in the encode config, to interlaced BFF) and the VLC deinterlacer doesn't' appear to be doing anything, whether set to 'On' or 'Auto' mode. Just plays as if it were frame-based with all the combing artifacts. Pre-deinterlaced 50p material plays OK.

Does it work on the desktop?

No problems deinterlacing (Bob, Yadif, Yadifx2) the same test clip in VLC (TwoFlower 2.08) on my Windows (XP Pro) PC.

OK. We'll look into it.
