VLC no longer works with above updates. It is a total time waster and no sign of it being corrected.

Vlc works fine one ios7 iphone 5s

But there is a bug. When i activate vpn the local network universal plug'n'play stops working.

No results will be shown. Please fix this. Another feature i wish to have is a return button. For example: when i finish watching a movie via local network from my disk station, i need to press the finish button on the top corner. But when i do this i dont return back to the last folder of my diskstation. This is quite annoying. Please check that out also for photos and music.

By the way, sorry for my bad english. I'm not a native speaker

Reset your vlc by reinstalling.
Have reset four times and no change. At start I transfer two files from Dropbox but after that a black screen flashes briefly when VLC icon pressed and that is it. Any other thoughts as VLC will not work now.

It puts you off updating when something that has ben working well goes wrong. VLC does not show up as having crashed so there is no iformation to report.

It seems to have something to do with filenames. For me the movie Rio makes the difference. All other movies are no problem. Copying Rio.mp4 to the iPad makes it crash, but when I rename it to Rio 3.mp4 on my mac and then copy it to the iPad everything works ok.

Hi,
since I don't want to open a new thread, I'd like to ask if there are any plans for vlc supporting audiobus, jack, or the new apple's inter audio system on ios7..The concept is simple, stream audio from/to a PC using ipad's audio apps...

I have also discovered that a short name causes VLC to crash. I have gradually been increasing the library and VLC is working well. I find the name has to be more than four as taps.mp3 and Matt.mpg will crash VLC and everything has to be downloaded again. I will change the names of these two and see if they work with the longer name. Unfortunately these were the first ones I loaded so it always crashed but it is now looking hopeful.

@geriatric123: this issue was resolved with improved bounds checking. The update should be available within 48 hours from now (if Apple reviews on the same schedule as usual).

@korakios: no, not yet. Help on this would be welcome!
