Help...How to use VLC as default safari player for video

Is there any way to make the vlc as the default player for safari?
For eg: some wmv and some asp file can not be played by the windows media player but can be play VLC. so i want the mac can automatically using the vlc as the player..
Is there any plug-in can help me to get this?
