A question that ,does VLC for iOS use the hardware decoding?

Thanks a lot for anyone who resolves my problem :)
I just wonder whether VLC plays movies in a soft-way or uses the GPU accelerator ? Or the way could be different by the file types ?

VLC is really an amazing job for all of my digital instruments .

VLC does only use software decoding for now. We will add hardware acceleration at a later point :)
