some .ogm files don't have video

Postby whiterainbow » 25 Jun 2013 04:38

I have a bunch of .ogm files that I'm sure used to work, but now come up with audio but no video. If I look at the media information, there is no video codec being used. It doesn't affect all .ogm files I have, just some of them (so I know ogm files will play on my machine). The video track is not disabled or anything like that. Any suggestions?

This is fixed in VLC 2.1 - feel free to try a Nightly Build of VLC

I downloaded the nightly build but I'm not familiar with compiling programs in OSX, is there instructions anywhere? There's no readme or anything I could find with the download....

Nightly builds don't need compiling. Did you go here?

Evidently I was going somewhere else! That fixed it, thank you!
