VLC in terminal

Postby Bleeb » 29 Jul 2005 21:54

Hi

I see from the VLC documentation page that you can lanuch VLC from a command line. I'm trying to get VLC to play videos using the terminal window in OSX.

Can I do this? What do I need to do to get the commands to work?

Thanks.

You can find the CLI version inside the Contents of the .app pkg ...

in VLC.app/Contents/MacOS/VLC

Why it's all caps I'm not sure, but you can run that directly and pass any arguments needed to it there.

Read the ReadMe.MacOSX.rtf file of the 0.8.2 release. It has some details of CLI usage of the mac version.
Don't use PMs for support questions.

I#M afraid there is no information on using the CLI. I just downloaded the latest version.
