Aspect ratio problem with 2.0.4

I've been using the video filter cropadd with previous versions of VLC to remove 30 pixels from all sides of a video and now with version 2.0.4 all videos will open in the wrong aspect ratio (1:1). If I turn off cropadd then the video is displayed in the correct aspect ratio. I have tried deleting all the preferences for VLC with no success.

Is this a bug with 2.0.4 or does using cropadd need another setting to be used to always obtain the correct aspect ratio?

Can you share your command line to do that?

I've got the same problem here.
It might related to the deinterlace mode.
If it's set to "discard" or to "mean" the aspect ratio is wrong. On any other modes it looks ok.

Has anyone found a workaround for this? For me, this makes the latest version of the player unusable.

*edit* I didn't realize this was the Mac section. The problem exists in the Windows version also.
