saving video effect adjustments & next clip in playlist

this could be normal & might not be do-able but what i am trying to find out is - when a video clip needs to have brightness/saturation/hue/gamma changed from the way it is or else click off the image adjust all together, can you save these changes you made as you changed them & keep these settings so every time you play the clip it is all ready to go.

sometimes, not always but on occasion the next video clip either a random from library or else in a playlist, the next video up may have the video effects applied from the previous video that i changed &sometimes i need to just click off then back on the image adjust box & the changes take affect. not all videos i have do this & i can not see a pattern or reason why

i seem to like 16:10 aspect ratio & added this to the preferences/video/custom crop ratios list & source aspect ratio, again same as image adjust sometimes the video will open full screen & 16:10 aspect ratio & it is great, then the next clip will play & i have 1-2inch of black stripe both top & bottom of screen, so i hit the -a- key to change aspect ratio & the picture is the way i want it. also let's say i have 2 videos for example that this is happening on, both of these could of been taken from same camera same day 10min apart & nothing was changed on anything that explains to me why they do not open up the same way same preferences.

thank you if anybody can help, i just want to have less adjusting time on the color & sizing part, hopefully make these permanent & nothing to adjust anymore..
