Enable to extract music from a video to a WAV file

Hello all,

I'm trying to extract the music track of a video to a WAV file: I have a video file (MP4, but I don't think that's relevant), I open it with VLC, then I go to Streaming / Exporting Wizard, select Transcode / Save to file, select the video, then I try to choose the codecs in the "Transcode" page. The problem is, I want the "Uncompressed integer" or "Uncompressed floating point" as the audio codec to be able to use the WAV container. But if I select it, whatever I choose for the video codec, including not choosing anything at all ("Transcode video" checkbox unchecked), I get an error saying the video and audio codecs are incompatible, and I can never go out of this page.
I did this exact operation quite a few times with former versions and it used to work without problem. Is there something I'm doing wrong? I'm on VLC v2.0.3 on Mac OS X.

Thanks!

This is a bug in VLC 2.0.3, which is going to be resolved the forthcoming 2.0.4 release. The update is going to be available shortly!

Open the video in Quicktime (7 works, I don't know about more recent versions - never tried).
Go to:
Window > Show Movie Properties
Click on Sound Track and choose Extract
