High Speed Scrubbing with VLC 2.0.1

Postby ni240sx » 19 Jun 2012 10:14

seems that with the latest version (2.0.1), it's more difficult to do high speed scrubbing (or fast forwarding)? the frames would basically freeze, then "catch up" to play again, and to freeze up again. sometimes, it'd just skip frames. it hasn't happened in earlier versions of VLC. I am able to do that on QuickTime with no issue, but not VLC. not sure if that is an issue with other users?

I do see that it'd work if I'd go to PLAYBACK for the drop down menu to use "playback speed" (and that works fine) - however when I try to toggle the "diamond" below the video forward or backward, it doesn't work the way it used to. not quite as smooth as it used to be. and I'd have more control over speed (as with accelerating or decelerating) when I use the "diamond" toggle, than the playback speed in the drop down menu.

I get the same problem. Does anyone have a solution for this.
