Can I watch live streaming in iPhone using VLC

Hi buddies,

I use VLC in my pc to watch this live streaming: mms://anandeshwara1.victorystream.com/bidadi1

Not able to watch it using iPhone/Android phones. Is it possible to install it in iPhone and watch the live streaming?

Tried installing it in a friend's iPhone. He downloaded it from the app store but had no option to enter the url. It was keep checking for VLC in computers around.

Any clue on what I should do?

The last version of VLC for iOS does not offer a GUI to open network streams, so there is virtually no way to play the streams with it.

Regrettably, I'm not aware of any other app which could let you do this either.

What about listening to audio alone? using VLC? Any chance?

How good are the chances for the live streaming to be available in iPhone in near future using VLC?

I've got it working on my phone. however, VideoLAN doesn't provide binaries of VLC for iOS at this point. We will make an announcement on our website if this changes.

RTSP urls are redirected from Safari on iOS to VLC, I haven't tried a mms url though.

It has been ages since I've had an RTSP stream work though. Just one day it stopped and never worked again. That was with the VLC that was on the App store briefly. I tried again with the VLC from Cydia, but only briefly. Safari passed the URL to VLC, but the few sites I tried didn't play.

Edit: That url does play on an iPad in the original app store VLC (via Safari). I hope discussing that version isn't taboo.
