I tried 3 diff MKV rips of MI:4, verions in 32, 15, and 11 GB's and none of them work properly, either crash after a few minutes or don't play at all. Is there some new encryption being put on Blu-rays that even when ripped they cause playback issues or is it an issue with VLC? Every other MKV I have works perfectly.

Any solutions or workarounds would be appreciated!

Please give us the information:
- Crash log.
- The information of the file. (Use MediaInfo http://mediainfo.sourceforge.net/ or mkvinfo in MKVToolnix http://www.bunkus.org/videotools/mkvtoolnix/)
- Other players can play the file or not.

If it crashes early enough you can try to upload the beginning of the file (like the 10 first MB) on http://streams.videolan.org/upload
