vlc 3.0.x crashes after 4-5 minutes

Maybe it is related to your specific graphics card or driver. What is your Mac Model you are working on?

Can you reliably reproduce that with any video, or does it only crash with a certain video?

The file in question is Xvid MPEG-4 Video, Stream 1 MPEG Audio Layer 3

i have no issues playing Xvid+Mp3 avi. maybe your file is corrupt?

I've been playing Xvid Avi's for several days now with no problems. If I have any in the future I'll be sure to report them!

After having it crash a couple of times I went back to 2.8. I was using both Windows and Linux. I don't know if I should say nice to hear it is crashing on Mac too, but nice to know I'm not the only one. I had it running with crashes on AMD and gpu:nvidia/cpu:intel. I might go with last 3 before 3.0.3 as the features related to second monitor worked better, but I expected a bugfix release to arrive sooner.
