firefox plugin for mac os x 10.4.8?

Postby tone » 05 Nov 2006 23:40

Newbie vlc user here (and new apple user).

I have really grown to hate quicktime and i have got the standalone
vlc intel package to work fine for the most part on my new macbook pro running mac os x 10.4.8 but i don't see an vlc plugin for firefox on the download page? At the bottom i see a vlc plugin package for powerpc but unfortunately i have the newer intel mac.

for kicks i tried to install the powerpc mozilla plugin but nothing seems to happen and mozilla doesn't get the plugin (via about:plugins).

will there be a vlc mozilla plugin for the intel macs eventually?

Thanks for the help!

A plugin for Intel-based Macs is in preparation and will be released within our next stable release 0.8.6, which should be finished this year, hopefully by the end of the month.
