capture device option missing

Hi,

I am trying to open up a local DV cam stream using VLC on OS X Leopard. However, unlike the installation on windows or linux, I am unable to see the open capture device option on the GUI. Are there any additional plugins that need to be installed for me to be able to do this?

Capture is not yet implemented for VLC.
I suggest you use QuickTime broadcaster. You can even use VLC to redistribute / transcode if you need to.
