Disable showing controls in full screen mode

Postby Hailvid » 18 Nov 2024 09:12

Hello, I use the player to show videos at various events and usually output the video from my laptop in full screen mode to the extended screen of a projector or TV. On the main screen, I usually have a playlist with a list of videos to play. At the moment when the video starts playing, controls appear on the extended screen (stop, pause, etc.). Tell me, is it possible to disable the appearance of controls on the extended screen with video? I looked through all the settings but still do not understand how to do this. Thanks in advance.

This is an advanced and quite hidden option.

Go to VLC -> Preferences -> Show All -> Interface -> Main Interfaces -> macosx and then uncheck "Show Fullscreen controller", save and restart VLC.
