Default language stuck in Japanese

Hello!
I've tried deleting and re-downloading VLC multiple times, but every time VLC opens all the dropdowns are in Japanese. I am a primarily english speaker and am hoping to have some help, as it seems like there is no place to change languages when I'm in preferences. Thank you!

VLC follows the configuration of your OS. However, you can overwrite the language in the VLC preferences in the Interface section to something else.

Thanks for the reply! Any advice for getting to the section of the VLC preferences without being able to read any of the text?
