VLC 3.0.20 stops playlist folder

Hello guys : )

I run VLC 3.0.20 on Monterey M1.

I put different folders with videos in a playlist, and for some reason i first have to then open the folder in the playlist, so that vlc would not stop at the next following folder.
I dont understand why VLC handels it like that on the Mac. If i would to that on Windows, it just plays all the content without any interupt.

Is there a option on Mac to change this odd behavior?
