Subtitle - Showing <font color="#ffffff">

I am having trouble playing an AVI file with subtitles

it shows the subtitle text but before the text it shows <font color="#ffffff">

has anyone had this problem before?

how do I stop it showing this <font thing>?

VLC support for subtitles is bad. You can't read those correctly with VLC. just hope it will be better in next version.

OPen the SRT file in text edit

Find" <font color="#ffffff">

Replace ALL with nothing

SAVE FILE

Replace this new SRT file with the old one


Subtitles are OK

Crazy, I'm looking back at a post from 2007, 16 years ago. Back in this time I was 15 years old playing RuneScape and enjoying high school. Now I'm 31 years old, at my Marketing job trying to figure out how to get useless text out of my captions for my companies video and lo and behold the answer is still relevant. Thanks gord3, even though you're probably long gone from this website.
