Clicking Show/Hide Playlist always jumps to the top of the list

Postby manthe » 25 Jul 2023 04:48

I have several long playlists that I use in VLC. When I'm watching or listening to something and I click the Show/Hide Playlist button to view the playlist, I am always taken to the very top/beginning of the playlist (as opposed to dropping me right where I currently am in the list). I then have to scroll all the way back down and find the media item that is currently playing. On long playlists this is frustrating and can be time consuming.

Is this known behavior? Is there a way to fix or configure this?

I am using a Mac.I don't know if this is a MacOS issue or not. Doesn't seem like it would be...but I wanted to include this info in case it is.

This 'issue' has been going on for years now - across a few different machines and several versions of VLC.

Thanks in advance for any guidance!
