volume of the audio is different/softer in vlc

When I share a video and open the video in VLC the volume of the sound is much softer through VLC it was correct and loud in final cut pro.
I try different options to share the video it doesn't change the volume of the sound.
If I open the video in Quick Time Player the sound is correct.
I use an Apple Computer with a Scarlet Solo interface.
