Motion Detection

Hi. I'm new to this forum and VLC. I'm using VLC version 3.0.11.1 on an iMac version 11.1 Big Sur
I'm trying to look through several hours of video shot of the stars in hopes of finding any meteors that might have occurred.
It's a daunting, time consuming task to review it all in real time. Is it possible to do motion detection with this Mac version of VLC? I don't see "tools" in the menu bar.
Any suggestions would be welcome. Thanks.
