VLC still not reading Blu Ray after keydb.cfg and libaacs.dylib install?

Postby silsurf » 14 Nov 2022 11:23

I am trying to play a newly released Blu Ray disc on my MacBookAir under MacOS Ventura 13.0.1

I followed instructions to do the following:

Download both keydb.cfg and libaacs.dylib and place in appropriate directories. Also to open package contents on VLC and place a copy of libaacs.dylib in the MacOS/Lib directory. VLC now successfully opens the disk up to a point and then I get the error in VLC (current version 3.0.17.3)

"Blu-ray error No valid processing key found in AACS config file."

The config file came from: http://fvonline-db.bplaced.net/ and is dated:

Current Number of MetaEntries: 21913
Current Number of LegacyEntries: 114632

Is there a more recent version or is there something else I need to do in order for VLC to open a brand new Blu Ray (Criterion if that matters) disc?

Thanks
