History disabled but not really.

Postby ruggerd » 22 Feb 2022 14:54

I don't want the history of anything watched or listened to on the media player. I use it to watch and listen and that's all I need it to do. So I go and turn off history so theoretically they don't show up in history. I'm currently watching the series "Being Human". However when I log into the VLC player today and go to watch the next episode there is the list of everything I watched the day before. Not under history but under playlists which the player by default starts creating from all your watched media. So what is the point of disabling history if it's just being followed somewhere else. Until this is resolved I'm going to look for another option for my media. It's too frustrating to deal with a poor design. Free or not if I don't want any history showing up I don't want any history regardless of how it's labeled. If i want to create a playlist I"ll do that myself. I don't need VLC to start the process for me without any permission.
