Capture Device Audio sample rate setting

Hi all,

I'm trying to stream audio by capturing the input of my audio card however the sample rate that VLC is streaming at (41000) is different from the audio device sample rate (48000). As a result the stream has a clocking mismatch and eventually goes to silence. How do I change the stream setting? Transcoding options in device capture only allow for bitrate and channels changes.
