How do you stitch videos together on VLC 3?

All the tutorials I can find for doing this seem to be based on ancient versions of VLC player for Windows 7. I am on macOS 11.5 something with VLC Player 3.0.16, and I can't get past the first step of all the tutorials because the "open multiple files" button does not exist anymore. How do I stitch multiple files into one file so they play one after the other now?
