padd via shortcut or Terminal ?

Postby PeeWee » 29 Oct 2016 09:00

I've noticed that crop is possible via shortcuts on the fly. Really cool! Is there maybe a hidden access to padd as well ? Or via terminal command?

I hoped that when I crop via shortcut to a negative value it would maybe padd, but that was just an intuitive reflex. But hey, why not?

I use padding a lot to shift subtitles out of the video, but the way through the preferences is really long; 6 clicks until I can enter the value, and then reopening the file to apply it to the video.

Found this now: https://wiki.videolan.org/Documentation ... deo_filter

There is the option I need listed:
croppadd-paddbottom <integer [0 .. INT_MAX]> : Pixels to add to bottom

But so far I haven't managed to make this work in a script...
