Removing VLC watermark

Hello all, this might be a basic question but while I play any video, I always see the watermark "VLC" on the screen. I can't properly read subtitles because of this watermark. How to remove the word "VLC" while watching the video?

This is odd. We don't put such a watermark. Do you have the marquee filter accidentally enabled? See the "Misc" section of the Video Effects panel in the Window menu.
