Both with this new version 3.0.14 and the previous, if say you're listening to music and open FireFox the VLC display goes blank and you have to manually re-select whichever category (music/videos etc) again.
Tried resetting prefs both on VLC and FireFox, no change. This is a relatively new bug. Didn't happen on Catalina
Mac OS 11.3.1 with latest security updates.

So far with v. 16 release this doesn't happen anymore on Big Sur.

Indeed, we did a small fix on this part between the .14 and the .16 release. Great to hear that it works!
