.ts-Container

Postby Alpri » 16 Feb 2014 14:52

Hi guys,

i´m having an issue with the playback of a .ts-container with a MPEG2-file. I use the latest version of VLC: Version 2.1.3 Rincewind (Intel 64bit)
Do i have to install any additional codecs or so?

When I click on the file in the VLC-playlist, the runtime and that blue loading bar appear, but then nothing happens.

Thanks for your help!

Does it work in version 2.1.4, which is now available as an update?

Can you try a 2.2 nightly build from http://nightlies.videolan.org and in case that also files, share the sample privately with us on http://streams.videolan.org/upload (please reference my name).

I tried the following nightly build: vlc-2.2.0-x86_64-20140219-0113.zip
without success.

Do you mean i should upload that .ts-file? Well it´s 5 GB big, are there possibilities to take only a few seconds of that file?

Did anyone ever get this working?

I have a bunch of ts mpeg2 files on my MacBook Air 2020 (M1) that VLC 3.0.12.1 Vetinari (Apple Silicon) recognizes the codecs of since they show up in the codec Details as "MPEG-1/2 Video (mpg)" original id 2048 and "A52 audio (aka AC3)" original id 2049. The statistics windows shows a fluctuating read, input, demux and stream bit rate, the the audio and video statistics sit at 0 and a player window never appears. The video plays in QuickTime.
