Everytime I open VLC, I have to manually add the videos bc it doesn't remember

First off, VLC rocks and I've used it for 6 months now and it plays files the QT cannot play.

My problem is... When I quit VLC and reopen it, it doesn't pick up where I left off. Hell, it doesn't even remember the videos I had in my playlist so I have to add them all manually.
I know how to create a playlist, but I do presentations and I'm always changing it. It would be helpful if it picked back up where I left off, that's all. :/
