Videos on macOS Big Sur

Videos play, but do not adjust or fill the window to show the video at its aspect-ratio on macOS 11.0.1 (10.16) Big Sur. The window is either too large (leaving black stripes above and under the video) or the video seems zoomed, scaled by about 2x.

This occurs with the VLC App and libVLC** versions 3.0.8, 3.0.10 and 3.0.11. Once the window is slightly resized, the window adjusts and the video shows properly, like videos play on earlier macOS releases with those same VLC and libVLC versions.
