Obviously this is an issue with VLC instead of Apple, otherwise the other version of VLC will stop working too.Hope VLC or Apple fix this little issue quick, In the mean time downgrading to VLC 3.0.8 fixes the issue of losing audio.
Exactly the same problem here, with MacOS Catalina as well.Same problem on Catalina 10.15.4, VLC 3.0.10. Audio drops, most often after pause, but sometimes spontaneously. If I jump to a different part of the video, VLC hangs until force quit.
Thanks for your attention on the issue!Hello,

Does the window dragging work again? As reported at https://forum.videolan.org/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=153637.I've been using this to play a long video, and so far - after 25 minutes - it hasn't frozen. (Based on my experience with the old VLC v3.0.10, that would likely have frozen at least once by now.) So, this looks good so far.
I had not been aware of this problem - but I don't have a problem dragging the viewing window (from anywhere within that window) with the new VLC version.Does the window dragging work again? As reported at https://forum.videolan.org/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=153637.
Window dragging by clicking on the video view should work fine again in that build too, yes.Does the window dragging work again?
I'm running Catalina on my MB ProI have the same problem - with VLC Version 3.0.10 Vetinari (Intel 64bit), but on MacOS Catalina 10.15.4 (19E287)
Frequently VLC stops outputting audio, but video continues playing normally. If I then try quitting VLC (from the GUI), I get the dreaded Mac spinning 'beach ball'. I then have to 'Force Quit' VLC.
