3.0.10 - Ability to move window by clicking anywhere gone?

Postby zen1605 » 30 Apr 2020 11:12

Hi -

I just updated to 3.0.10 and I can no longer move the video window by clicking anywhere in the window and dragging... it only works when clicking the title bar.

Is there a setting that was changed with the update that I can change back to get the old behavior back?

Thanks

Hi,

Sorry about that. This is already fixed for the next update (see ticket 24646).

Great! Is this build updatable?
Is this a very rough build or fit for daily use?

Those should be OK for daily use. However, chances are high that they will not update themselves automatically to the next version.

Phew!! So, it's not just me. It's very convenient to be able to drag a window by clicking anywhere on it. I hope this capability never goes away. For now, I have downgraded to 3.0.8 and I will stick to it until a newer version with a fix comes out. Thank you guys!

Hi,

I have the 3.0.11 ver.
How do I enable the dragging of the video window?

There is nothing to enable. You can just drag the window.

There is nothing to enable. You can just drag the window.
In VLC it's not doing that anymore for some reason.
I also have MPC-HC and there I drag the window from the center of it and it moves.
I've also added the option of "play/pause" when clicking the video for VLC so it will act like in MPC-HC.

MPC-HC is Windows-only. This thread is speaking about VLC on the Mac. Are you using VLC on the Mac?
